The visit Includes coach, entrance and fees for the ‘Highlights’ tour of the Ashmolean Museum, covering selected items from the Eastern Art, Antiquities, Western Art and Coin Room galleries.  The tour lasts about one hour and will be in groups of 15, each with their own guide, commencing at 11.45am.  You might like to spend more time looking at the museum’s treasures after the formal tour or you may wish to explore further afield. The Ashmolean offers several food options including a rooftop restaurant and a café opening at 11.00am (see www.ashmolean.org/cafe-and-restaurant for menus and prices).

Coach departs Radcliffe-on-Trent at 9am, arriving Cambridge at 11am. Coach departs Cambridge at 4pm, arriving Radcliffe-on-Trent at 6pm.

A guided tour of the Fitzwilliam Museum is included, with free time to explore Cambridge.

Ely Cathedral and the Stained Glass Museum.

Absorb the size and beauty of the Norman Nave with its unique C19th painted ceiling and the story it depicts.  Explore the Choir and Presbytery.  Experience the light and space of the Lady Chapel.  Marvel at the Octagon tower and lantern.  Climb the 288 spiral stairs to the top of the West Tower.  Follow in the paths of medieval monks as you explore the lovely grounds and medieval precinct.  Take refreshments in the 14th century Almonry Restaurant and Tea Rooms, with views of the Cathedral from its gardens.  Visit the Stained Glass Museum and learn about the history and art of stained glass above the Cathedral nave.

Elton Hall, Peterborough
The visit includes the coach, a tour of the house and the extensive landscaped garden.   There is a wonderful collection of furniture and porcelain.

The adjacent Mulberry Cafe is within the large Bosworth Garden Centre where tea/coffee/lunch  are available with various food options.

Coffee will be available on arrival at Brodsworth.  There is no official guide inside the house, but there are stewards in every room.  The Head Gardener has been booked for an optional afternoon tour at no extra cost.
